Tuesday's Tudor Tableau - Tudor Style Photoshoot

While I was in London a dear friend and I decided to get a Tudor style photo shoot done just for a laugh. We were at Trocadero Centre in Piccadilly Circus when we walked past  ‘Old Time Studios’ and out of the corner of my eye I saw a Tudor style dress. Immediately I stopped and went to investigate (as you do when it’s Tudor related!) and when I found out that you could dress up in a Tudor gown and get you’re your photo taken I just had to have a go!

My friend and I got to dress up in Tudor period costumes with the big skirt and additional sleeves as well as put on jewellery and a best of all a French hood! I wore a crimson coloured dress with gold trim and features with pretend jewels and fake pearls in my French hood. We then got our photos taken by a professional photographer who took countless photos having us in all different positions and poses.

Oh my gosh I have to say that I had an absolute blast! Dressed in the Tudor gown with the huge skirt and French hood, sitting on a pretend thrown I really felt like I was someone of importance! I felt as though I was a proper Lady of the Tudor Court and maybe, if I closed my eyes tight enough I could pretend that I was a lady in waiting to Queen Anne Boleyn herself! It was such a blast!!

The dress was stunning and what I found the strangest thing is that because the skirt was so huge it was really hard to get a perspective of how far things were behind me. I would think I had lots of room but then feel the dress pull and realise that the skirt was caught on something. It was such an odd feeling and did take a little to get used to.  I would just love to purchase my own Tudor gown one day… one day when I win the lottery and have lots of money!

Here are a few of the photos I had taken….

Very good pictures of you! I am not too sure about the poorly painted town in the background, but you look fabulous!!! The dress is amazing :-)
